How we get our data

Plainly: we read what properties publish, we say where it came from and when we checked it, and we tell you when we don't know.

What Subleaux is, and isn't

Subleaux is independent. We're not affiliated with any property, management company, LSU, or Southern University. We never handle, process, or approve lease takeovers. The property makes all decisions. We only share public information and help students find each other. How we get our data

What we do

  1. 1

    We read public sources

Each property's public website, its FAQ, and any sample lease or housing agreement it publishes. Anyone can open the same pages. We link every one.

  2. 2

Where nothing is published, we ask openly

We send the leasing office a transparent, general information request that says who we are and what we'll do with the answer. We publish their answer with the date we got it. We don't pose as a resident or a prospective renter.

  3. 3

    We show what's unconfirmed

If we couldn't find or confirm a policy, the page says "We're confirming this property's process" instead of guessing.

  4. 4

    We date everything

Every property page shows its sources, how we got the info, and the date we last checked it.

What we never do

  • Use insider, leaked, or private data, or anything behind a resident or staff login.
  • Pretend to be a resident or renter to get information.
  • Act on anyone's behalf in a takeover, or handle applications, approvals, payments, or paperwork.
  • Fill gaps with guesses. Unknown stays marked as unknown.

How each property page is labeled

Every property page has a "Where this info comes from" box with one of these methods.

Public website
The property's own public website: lease pages, policy pages, fee disclosures.
27 properties
FAQ
The property's public FAQ page, when it answers lease takeover or transfer questions.
4 properties
Lease document
A sample lease or housing agreement the property publishes for anyone to read.
4 properties
Reply from leasing office
The leasing office's answer to our general information request, published with the date we got it.
0 properties

Right now every entry comes from public sources. We haven't sent any leasing office requests yet, so no leasing-office replies are published. 35 properties are covered, most recently checked Oct 28, 2026. 17 still show "We're confirming this property's process".

Pictures

Subleaux doesn't show property photos or logos. Every property gets the same simple name card with its name, campus, and manager when we know it. To see the real place, use the "See real photos" link on each property page. It goes to the property's own gallery.

Corrections

Are you with a property or management company and something here is wrong or out of date? Tell us what to fix, with a link to your published policy if you have one. We'll update the page and its "last checked" date.
