Subleaux

For LSU & Southern University students

Leaving Baton Rouge early? Pass your lease to another student.

Most student complexes near campus don't allow true sublets. You need a replacement who applies and takes over your lease. Subleaux matches verified students and shows you each property's exact takeover steps and fees.

How do you say it?Sub-LOH. It's just “sublease,” spelled the Louisiana way, like Geaux Tigers. (Not “sub-le-go.” We checked.)

Why not just sublet?

Around here it's a takeover, not a sublet.

Nearly every by-the-bed complex near LSU bans subletting. What they do allow is a lease reassignment, delegation, or relet: you find someone, they apply and get screened by the property, and they sign onto your lease. Fees vary a lot, from a flat $200 to a full month's rent.

How takeovers work
  1. 1

    You list your spot

Verified with your @lsu.edu or @subr.edu email.

  2. 2

    A student finds it

They see your rent, dates, and your property's exact rules.

  3. 3

    They apply to the property

The leasing office screens and approves them, not us.

  4. 4

    Lease transfers, you're released

Per your property's terms. Fees and timing vary.

Honest property info

We show only what a property has published. Unknown? We say “we're confirming,” not a guess.

You stay in control

The property screens and approves your replacement. We never touch your deposit or rent.
