How a takeover works here

Process in lease document

Sample 2026-27 agreement: no assignment or subletting. At the owner's sole discretion, a resident in good standing may 'delegate' their space to another person on an approved delegation form. Termination is allowed but rent stays owed; a credit applies only once the whole property is full, minus a re-marketing fee.

Fee: Delegation fee $200; cancellation/re-marketing fee $600; room reassignment $350

Subleaux never collects rent or deposits and never acts for either student. Your replacement applies directly with the property. Never send money before the property approves the takeover.
